John Jordan
Executive Director
John was appointed Chief Executive of Ornua in June 2018. Prior to this, he held a number of senior executive positions during his 25-year career with Ornua including CEO of Ornua Foods – Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia, with responsibility for developing long term strategies to grow Ornua’s consumer sales portfolios in these regions, and CEO of DPI Speciality Foods, a division of Ornua and the third largest speciality food distributor in the US. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior commercial roles within the organisation in Dublin and within international subsidiaries.
John holds a M.Sc. in Business Administration from Trinity College Dublin, a M.Sc. in Environmental Resource Management from University College Dublin and a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Dublin City University.
Donal Buggy
Group Finance Director
Donal Buggy was appointed Group Finance Director of Ornua in December 2012 and is responsible for Group financial reporting, treasury management, taxation and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Ornua, Donal held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer, Independent News & Media PLC (INM). He joined INM as Group Financial Controller in 1996 and in 2002 he was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer, joining the Group’s Board and Executive Committee. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of APN News & Media Ltd. and a number of other group companies in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Donal was previously audit manager with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Dublin. A chartered accountant by profession, Donal holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin.
Bernard Condon
CEO Ornua Ingredients Europe
Bernard was appointed CEO Ornua Ingredients Europe in 2011 and is responsible for trading, key account and value-added ingredient sales of member product, as well as the procurement of product for branded sales. Bernard joined Ornua in 1998 and has held a number of senior positions within the business, including Procurement Manager and Cheese Business Manager. He holds a degree in Business Studies from Dublin City University, a Diploma in Management from the Irish Management Institute and has completed the Enterprise Ireland Leadership for Growth programme in the International Institute for Management Development in IMD, Switzerland.
Majella Darcy
Group Human Resources Director
Majella was appointed Group Human Resources Director of Ornua in January 2016. Majella is responsible for developing a HR strategy which will support Ornua’s ambitious growth plans, vital to this is the development and enhancement of the Group’s most important asset; its people. Majella has a wealth of international experience from over 25 years working with global food manufacturers and retail companies. Prior to joining Ornua, Majella was HR Director with responsibility for Europe & Asia Pacific with Aryzta, with whom she worked for ten years. Prior to this, Majella held senior roles with Superquinn, Dunnes Stores, Clerys, Tesco and Sainsburys.
Gilles Fellens
Chief Growth Officer
Gilles Fellens is Chief Growth Officer and is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, new business development, communications, capital expenditure, and sustainability.
Prior to joining Ornua, Gilles worked for The Coca Cola Company as a Strategy Director, responsible for strategy, planning, performance management, insights and innovation. While with The Coca-Cola Company, Gilles worked in Europe, Africa and Asia in positions at BU and Group level. Prior to joining the FMCG sector, Gilles worked as a strategy consultant for 15 years. A Belgian national, Gilles is fluent in French, English and Italian.
Gilles holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School and an MA in International Politics from John Hopkins University.
Róisín Hennerty
CEO Ornua Foods Americas & Global Marketing Director
Róisín was appointed CEO of Ornua Foods Americas & Global Marketing Director in April 2017. As CEO of Ornua Foods Americas, Róisín is responsible for the strategic growth and commercial development of Ornua’s branded portfolio in North and Latin America. As Global Marketing Director she has responsibility for the Group’s brand portfolio, as well as Innovation, Insights and Communications. Having originally joined Ornua Cooperative in Dublin, Ireland, Róisín later moved to the US and was responsible for the strategic marketing and launch of Kerrygold Butter and Dubliner Cheese there. Roisin earned her primary degree at University College Dublin, holds a Diploma in International Trade from the Dublin Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the Executive Scholars programme at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Illinois.
John McRedmond
Chief Risk and Compliance Officer
John McRedmond is Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and is responsible for identifying, analysing and mitigating risk, including commercial risk management, operational risk, legal, insurance, corporate procurement, and compliance. In addition to this role, John is Secretary of Ornua, where he is responsible for the provision of governance and corporate secretariat support to the board of directors of Ornua and its sub-committees.
John joined Ornua in 2010 as Group Legal Counsel and built a team responsible for identifying and managing legal risk across the Ornua Group. Prior to this, he worked in the Corporate Group at Matheson, where he gained extensive experience in M&A and general commercial law.
A qualified solicitor and member of the Law Society of Ireland, John holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Dublin City University and a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Denis Cregan
Chairman
Denis Cregan is Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board of Ornua, joining in 2015. Denis has extensive experience in the Irish dairy industry having worked in various management roles with Kerry Group PLC over a thirty-year period.
Joe O'Sullivan
Board Member
Joe O’Sullivan represents Carbery Co-op on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2020. Joe is a former CEO of Drinagh Co-op where he held the position for over 30 years.
Jim Russell
Board Member
Jim Russell represents ICOS on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2014. He is a farming member of Centenary Thurles Co-op.
Sean Sweeney
Board Member
Sean Sweeney represents Aurivo Co-op on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2020. A dairy farmer based in Killala, Co. Mayo, Sean has previously held a role on the Board of Aurivo Co-op.
Jerry Houlihan
Board Member
Jerry Houlihan represents Kerry Ingredients on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2020. Jerry previously worked with Kerry Group PLC for almost forty years and is currently a member of the Coillte Board.
John Hunter

John Hunter represents Tipperary Co-op on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2020. John is currently CEO of Moorepark Technology Limited and former deputy general manager at Tipperary Co-op.
Diarmuid Lally
Board Member
Diarmuid Lally represents Glanbia Ireland on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2021. A dairy farmer in Co. Meath, Diarmuid has previously served on the boards of Glanbia Co-op and Glanbia Ireland and on the board of Farmer Business Developments plc.
Edmund Lynch

Edmund Lynch represents Dairygold Co-Op on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2020. A dairy farmer in East Cork, Edmund was previously a member of the Dairygold Board serving as Vice Chairman.
Michael O'Shea

Michael O’Shea represents North Cork Co-op on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2020. Michael has over 39 years’ experience in the dairy industry and was previously a Director at Kenmare Livestock Mart Co-Op Society Ltd.
Dr. Sean Brady

Dr Sean Brady represents Lakeland Dairies on the Board of Ornua, joining in 2020. Sean is currently a director of Animal Health Ireland and the Irish National Stud as well as the former chairman of Food Harvest 2020.
