Ornua Ingredients, Ornua Foods UK and Ornua Co-op took home a total of 20 awards at the 2018 International Cheese & Dairy Awards, the largest and most prestigious cheese show in the world. The International Cheese & Dairy Awards took place in Nantwich in the UK, on the 30th and 31st of July and saw 300 judges review entries from some 5,134 entries from 50 different countries, including Ireland, the UK, Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, across a variety of cheese and dairy product categories.
Ornua won a significant number of awards in Cheddar categories across the board, strengthening the Group’s position as one of the best producers of cheddar globally. Kerrygold Unsalted Block Butter also received a highly commended award in the Non-UK Unsalted Block Butter category.

This year was the first time that Ornua’s Pilgrim’s Choice brand, one of the UK’S most popular branded cheddars, entered the awards. It secured three bronze awards which was a very notable achievement and, reflects the superior quality and taste of Pilgrim’s Choice cheese.
